Studio Dunn

For the past couple of months I’ve been working with Studio Dunn to help them launch their first ever line of hand-crafted, all natural wood furniture. I’ve had to keep a lid on these images for a while until they had a chance to finish up a few more things on the business side, and I admit, it was a bit difficult. Most of these images were taken in February and March and as you can see, some are outdoors, and it was freezing and almost always around sunrise. So after all I went through to get these shots, I wanted to show them off a bit.

The concept was to provide each piece of furniture with a “glamour shot” and standard product shots. With the pieces being made of natural materials (wood), we decided why not set them up in natural environments. Sure beats those boring shots with the furniture indoors somewhere. These pieces also have a very elegant, natural design and smooth curves… it seemed like a no-brainer to bring them into nature.

So here’s a few of the final images as they’ll appear on catalog cards, a few product shots, some of my favorites that ended up on the cutting room floor, and some behind-the-scenes shots.
